So I like this, it fits well and looks great as a robe. Its good quality but I do not like the fabric itself, I have sensory issues and this type of fabric is not a favorite. Good price.
The material is very thin and somewhat see-through, which you can see in the pictures. I’m 5'8" and found it to be a bit short in length. Overall, it honestly looks more like a robe than a traditional abaya, and the sewing and finishing details aren’t very polished. The lighter color may be part of the issue, black might look better and be less sheer. On the positive side, the price is reasonable, it’s comfortable to wear, and the fabric doesn’t seem to wrinkle easily, which makes it practical for casual or at-home use.
Very cute abaya, I am 5‘8“ tall and the length is literally exact on me. I would’ve liked it a little bit longer. It would’ve looked nicer. I got my normal size and it fit me well. I am around 220 pounds. It is very comfortable And the way he wraps around is very stylish. You would wrap one side and tie it and then wrap the other side and tie it and it creates and a bias styled look. It’s very easy to wear and takeoff. The quality of the material is really nice And you can make it tighter or looser depending on what your preference is.
This kimono was not purchased for religious reasons. As someone with physical issues, I wanted something easy to put on and take off; something that would provide cover from my shoulders to my feet; and something attractive to wear even though I'm usually at home. The kimono was a great fit in most areas. At 5'6" the length covered my feet while standing. While relatively easy to put on, it was a bit awkward for me to reach the ties to secure them properly. The fabric is a nice quality and comfortable. However, it is not thick enough for true modesty. As seen in the image taken in front of the computer screen, it is semi-opaque. My original personal concern was that it was described as machine washable, although the fabric care didn't include machine drying. It was a pleasant surprise that the material was not wrinkled after air drying. I still prefer being able to toss my clothes in the dryer, but I credit the manufacturer that the Kimono looked good after being washed and hung up.
I picked this up to wear as a robe over nightwear or while putting on makeup. It is not perhaps the most flattering style on me, but that's neither here nor there. It's lightweight and silky-feeling. It is a simple and elegant design, and I'm quite happy with it. This gets 4 stars because one side of both the inner and outer ties is just short enough to make it a little difficult for me to tie it.
